Our Staff

Gregory R. Peavy II, M.S., L.P.C. is the primary counselor of our private practice.  He has provided substance abuse counseling services during his practicum and internship at The Shoulder; has provided counseling services at EAP Lifestyle Management; and from June 2013 to July 2017 he was the primary counselor of Peavy Counseling Services, LLC Outpatient Treatment Program.  

He has been in private practice at this location since 2012 and he has experience providing counseling services to clients who experience difficulty with addictions, anger, stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship and family issues.  He has a Masters of Science degree in Community Counseling from The University of South Alabama, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Alabama. 

Gregory R. Peavy Sr., M.S., L.P.C. passed away suddenly on March 2nd 2016.  Mr. Peavy was the founder of Peavy Counseling Services, and will be sorely missed.  Mr. Peavy will always remain a part of Peavy Counseling Services.

Mr. Peavy was the primary therapist at Peavy Counseling Services, LLC, and he had over 20 years of experience providing counseling services to the public.  He served as Clinical Coordinator for Grace Community Mental Health Center; and the Clinical Director for Insight Treatment Program.  He had a Masters of Science degree in Counseling and Human Development from Troy State University, and he was a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Alabama.
